Damian Holmes over at LAND Reader wonders when a “garden” ends and a “landscape” or “park” begins. He puts the question in terms of scale and complexity, but I wonder if we might think of it in terms of management and stewardship. Where are there examples of large parks that are managed like small, community-based gardens? How do those places work? Alternately, where are there examples of community gardens managed like large parks? What goes on in those places?
